General

What is Glouf?

Glouf is a product authentication technology that links products to their registered producers through unique codes, including QR codes. Anyone can scan a Glouf code with the app or website to check a product's registered source.

Who is behind Glouf?

Glouf is a technology by Blimp International Digital Services Limited.

Where can I get the Glouf app?

Glouf works as a mobile app and on the web. Manufacturers can register through the merchant sign-up page.

Can Glouf verify documents too?

Yes. Organisations register the documents they issue, such as certificates, licences, ID cards, invoices and contracts, and add a unique Glouf QR code to each one. Anyone can scan it to confirm the document is authentic and was issued by that organisation. Contact our team to set it up.

For shoppers

How do I verify a product?

Open the Glouf app, scan the Glouf QR code on the pack, and Glouf shows whether the code matches a registered producer and product.

What if the scan shows no match?

Don't buy the product. It may not be genuine. Keep the receipt or a photo if you've already bought it, and report it to us through the contact page so we can alert the producer.

Should I scan with my normal camera app?

For the most reliable result, scan using the official Glouf app. A code that sends you to a different website is a warning sign.

Does a QR code alone guarantee a product is real?

No code is a guarantee on its own. Glouf confirms the link between a code and its registered source. Check that the details on screen match the product in your hand, and watch for damaged or tampered labels.

For manufacturers

How do I get started?

Create a merchant account and you go straight to your dashboard. Add your products and try test QR codes, then click Go live and submit your documents. We review them and alert you when your account is live. Then you print and apply your codes.

Do I need special equipment?

No. If you can print labels or packaging, you can apply Glouf codes. Many producers add them to existing label designs.

Which products can I register?

Any product you produce or own, from medicines and food to cosmetics, spare parts and electronics.

How do I stop counterfeiters copying my codes?

Use one unique code per unit where possible, print on tamper-evident labels, and tell customers to scan only with the official Glouf app. That makes copied codes much easier to spot.

How much does it cost?

Merchant plans depend on your products and volumes. Contact our team and we'll walk you through the options.
